Rev. Dr. Daphney Lockette, PHD

Daphney Lockette was born and raised in New York City (Harlem).  She received her Bachelors in Sociology from Virginia State University, a Masters in Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson 

University and a Doctorate in Human Services with a concentration in Social and Community 

Services from Capella University.  She will be graduating this May of 2023 with a Masters in Divinity with a concentration in Chaplaincy from New York Theological Seminary.    She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and a published author of three books.  She has been active in church on various ministries and has preached and taught 

Sunday school to adults and children.   She has been an educator in the public school system in New York City, Bergen County, NJ, a Professor and Department Chair at institutions of higher learning  and has worked with a Christian organization where she helped youth ex-offenders overcome barriers so they can become gainfully employed.  Currently,  she worships at Mount Zion AME where she actively serves on the ministerial staff.  She desires to fulfill Chaplaincy full-time, continue to teach and preach God's Word and serve in whatever capacity the Lord has her in.
